No more shade
We lost the two maple trees in the front yard - and need to find things that love full sun to replace the brunnera. Grass never very did very well on the north side of the driveway, so we put wood chips along there - and will do some planting along there next year. We left a berm down towards the curb - it's less pointy than when I took this picture. We have ideas for replacing the hostas and brunnera - and need your thoughts. Would it be better to put things in this fall - or wait until spring? The grasses, above, by the back door are a little too big for that space so we would like to move them to the front - to replace the hostas. A friend is going to come over, dig the hostas, and give them a new home. They are already traumatized by the amount of sun they are getting. *** The friend already took some of the brunnera.
